Thanksgiving Centerpieces

Good Evening Ladies!!! The Holiday Season has arrived!!! I know you have so much to accomplish in the next two months but I certainly hope that you will take time out for yourself. We have an excellent opportunity coming up on November 20 at 6:30 pm in Big D. We will be making Thanksgiving Centerpieces and sharing in fellowship. Please make plans to attend. All the supplies will be provided for you, but we need to know if you are going to come so we are asking that you RSVP by calling the church office at 949-9433. * If you already have a centerpiece, come anyway and you can design one that we can donate to one of our local nursing homes!!!God Bless!!!

Fall Clothes Round-Up

Good Evening Ladies!!! I hope ya'll are enjoying this cool weather. How many of you added a jacket or sweater to your outfit today? I know I did. As you are pulling out your warmer apparel, we ask that you remember the fall clothes round-up for the Rescue Mission. You can bring your donations to the church this Saturday from 8-10am.

     How would you like to get away for the weekend with other ladies and scrapbook?  We will have a great time scrapbooking.  We will spend two nights  away and have food, fun, and fellowship.  All you will need for this weekend getaway is your scrapbooking supplies and a great attitude. 

     We would leave Eastwood on a Friday afternoon and come back Sunday morning.  The cost TBA.  Place and Time TBA.  Let us know of your interest and we will be updating you on other information.

What's Better than chocolate?

Ladies, what could possible be better than chocolate? Come and find out on September 18 at 7 pm in the gym! This is the kickoff event for our Women's Ministry. There will be a signup sheet in the back of the church to RSVP for childcare. We hope to see you on Saturday!!! God Bless!!!

Fall Food Round-up for LBC Children's Home

Items are due by the 23rd of September.  Since these items are distributed to the cottages they do not need to be large sized.  Items requested are: aluminum foil, plastic wrap, cleaning supplies for kitchen and bathroom, laundry detergent, bathroom tissue, body wash, barbeque sauce, biscuit mix, cake mix, canned products (juices, fruits, soups, vegetables, meats, pie fillings, chili, condensed milk), cooking oil, deodorant, flavoring, gravy mix, instant potatoes, jelly, jam, Jello, ketchup, Kool-aid, mayonnaise, oatmeal, onion soup mix, pancake mix, paper towels, peanut butter, pickles, Rotel tomatoes, rubbing alcohol, cookies, cereals, salad dressings, spaghetti sauce, spices, sugar, syrup, taco seasoning, tea, tomato sauce, and ziplock bags.

Ladies, rustle up your items and drive them to church!!!

New Small Group for Young Women

On Sunday, September 5 a new small group Bible study targeting young women will begin to meet at 9:30 a.m. Debbie Jenkins will facilitate this group. For more information contact Ken at 393-1772 or ken.collier@eastwoodbaptist.com.

Tuesday Ladies’ Bible Study

On Tuesday, September 7 at 9:00 a.m. the study “Stepping Up” by Beth Moore will begin. There are 3 goals for this study: 1) to dramatically change our outlook on our daily lives, 2) to help us step up to a higher plane of worship and service, and 3) to help us step up in our personal journey even as we deal with some of the difficult times in our lives. Diane Stockton will facilitate this study. The group will meet in Room D201 of Building D. The Living Beyond Ourselves small group led by Rhonda Schnell will also be doing this study on Sunday mornings.

Espresso with Esther

On Thursday evenings beginning September 9 come experience a Bible study to fit your busy lifestyle!  Each weekly lesson is broken down into five segments of study questions (with Bible text included!) and two days of lighter devotional readings for the weekend. The study explores how God works through His people who are willing to trust Him and take risks. Nicole Falcon will be the facilitator of the study. The group will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the coffee area of the second floor of Building D. Call the church office to reserve childcare.
